Tehuacán Food..! :)

Tehuacan possesses typical and delicious food such as the bread of donkey which is extremely delicious also it counts with mueganos, delicious like mole of hips, the prickly pear extremely delicious bull in end these are some saucers and sweets of the teahuacan gastronomia.

Tehuacán products

Tehuacan exports products to other localities the products are the following ones:

Egg, chicken, refreshment, clothes trousers of tweed, baby's shoes, salt of cattle, onyx I ruffle and grenade among other things in end Tehucan rocks!

Tehuacán a beautiful place .!

TEHUACÁN

Tehuacán is the second largest city in the Mexican state of Puebla, nestled in the Southeast "Valley of Tehuacán", bordering the states of Oaxaca and Veracruz. The municipality has an area of 390.36 km.

GEOGRAPHY

Tehuacán is located in the southeastern part of the State of Puebla.Northern bordering cities are Tepanco de López, Santiago Miahuatlán, Vicente Guerrero y Nicolás Bravo; Eastern Vicente Guerrero, San Antonio Cañada and AjalpanSourthern San Gabriel Chilac, Zapotitlán , San Antonio Texcala and ALtepexi; and Western Zapotitlan, San Martín Atexcal,Juan N. Méndez y Tepanco de López.

INTERESTING PLACES

Municipal palace

Before known as " the house of the high places ", it was constructed in the year of 1804 by the sr. Don Domingo de APresa; and it was considered in the city as the first particular building of two floors.
His construction was one defied the Franciscan friars because they would be covered by the front of this religious enclosure as well as the convent. The acquisition of this building I realize the year of 1844 but it was until the year of 1855 when they began to spend some dependences of the government.

The murals of the ground floor that they lead to the interior of the palace are known as Tehuacán and his 5 regions. Realized in the year of 1983 and 1984 by the brothers carpinteyro original of Tehuacán. And in the year of 1989 the painter Cutberto Correa I paint the wall one " agony and hope " that is located inside the municipal palace

Museum of Mineralogy

This museum was opened the public On July 31, 1998 and there represents the dream of a made scientist reality and to sink in one of colors and forms on having visited this museum. His creator, man of great erudition winner of the Medal Carnegie granted by the Institute Smithsonian of Washington, discoverer of two Mexican minerals the Malpimita and the Ojuelaita, humanist advanced by much to his time opened us the door of the knowledge and conscience of the raw material that surrounds and shapes us: the minerals.

This museum possesses a collection of minerals of approximately 10,000 pieces, of which only 394 are those who meet in commodate the Town hall and which nowadays show themselves in the above mentioned museum, product of the effort of the Dr. Michael Romero, Mexican scientist gone away from Harvard's University, who invested almost all his resources and mas of 20 years of his life in forming so coarse collection.

Ex-convent of San Francisco

The ex-convent of San Francisco was constructed in the year of 1592 previously this temple it had been raised in Calcahualco (old Tehuacán), but twenty years later they had to change to the current place for an endemic problem of malaria that it had made make ill to the friars and the plague of ants and vipers of sleigh-bell that were not leaving her to progress.

On having penetrated the portico in the corridor of access to the cloister it is possible to observe a niche that originally was an access to the temple and nowadays placed this one the Virgin of Guadalupe. Cathedral

On August 21, 1724 during the holidays to commemorate 203 years of Tenochtitlan's fall the first stone was placed and for the determination of the inhabitants of the city, four years later already it was concluded, his principal front page framed by the towers is of Renaissance style. Temple and Ex-convent of Carmen

The Church of Our Lady of Carmen is, as the convent, of baroque Mexican, typical architecture of the 18th century, has an alone tower and his plant is in the shape of Latin cross, and the cruise this one roofed with a dome seated on a drum that for his dimensions admits windows.

The principal ship has a ceiling with vault of continuous cannon supported by arches fajones, his axis does not possess windows and in the northern part it is adjacent to the ex-convent, his structural proportions are very massive, denoting an architecture prepared to resist strong earthquakes.

The major altar possesses three niches, to the left side the Prophet Elías; to the center we find to the most beautiful image of Our Lady of Carmen; and to the Holy right Teresa of Avila,the latter religious Carmelite and Doctor of the Church.

Museum of Tehuacán's Valley.

Museum belonging to the National Institute of Anthropology and History Carmen occupies a part of the ex-convent of, arrives of which there is situated the House of the Culture and the municipal library. In his showcases there shows itself a sample of pre-Hispanic findings, as jars, plates, necklaces of accounts, stones of grinding and remains of human skeletons. Of his walls they hang maps and sheets that synthesize a history of almost ten thousand years. There we can find out about old Coxcatlán relevancy, one of the dominions that they bloomed towards the 15th century. Also we can have an idea of the caves and archaeological sites of the valley, apart from several ruins of pyramids, which for the present are visited almost exclusively by the archeologists.
